Coldwater Kids' presents: Traveling Tales goes to India

Please join special guest, Father Mathias and friends as they share the wonders of their homeland, India. We'll explore the culture, language, customs, food and drink on Saturday, November 3. The program begins at 10:30 am and lasts until noon. Due to limited space and supplies, we ask that you pre-register on-line or by calling 517-278-2341 ext 103/104.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn and explore the vast and vibrant land of India! This program is for children ages 4-12 years and was made possible through the generosity of the Coldwater Kiwanis Club.

We are excited to introduce our new and improved computer sign up system. Starting the week of 10/15/18, patrons will use their library cards to sign in on library computers. This new system comes with many great features, including:

  • Users will be able to extend their own computer sessions (up to 120 minutes per day - depending on availability), no need to come and ask a staff member for more time
  • Users will be able to lock their computers if they need to step away, ideal for those with sensitive information
  • Reservations are available 7 days in advance. This will guarantee you a computer at a specific time ensuring you get the technology that you need. See a staff member for more information.
  • Visitors to Branch County will be able to use the computer with a Guest Pass.

BDL participates in Libraries for Life

Libraries for Life Logo From October 9 to October 15, BDL hopes to inspire local residents to join the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. The Coldwater, Quincy, Sherwood, and Union Twp. branches are joining the "Libraries for Life" campaign to educate adults on the facts of organ, tissue, and eye donation. Each branch is able to sign people up for the registry and information is available on the value of being an organ/tissue donor. For more information about how you can give the gift of life, stop at one of our participating locations.

Sherwood Reptile Program Rescheduled

The Sherwood Branch Reptile Program is cancelled today, October 12, due to a conflict in scheduling. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause! But don't worry we have rescheduled it for Friday, October 19th at 4:00pm. There will be several species of snakes at this program. If you’re a fan of snakes, you won’t want to miss this one!
