REGISTER HERE - Summer Reading for the whole family starts Monday, June 3rd and runs through Friday, July 26. Children, Teens, and Adults can read to win cool prizes, attend fun programs, and enjoy an awesome Summer at the Library.

Sign up online, using Wandoo Reader, starting May 15 or pick up a paper Registration Form and first Reading Log (available May 20) at your nearest BDL Branch. Log your Summer Reading, starting on June 3, and be entered into the chance to win great Prizes! For the second year, BDL will be using Wandoo Reader to enter your reading information online. If you participated online last year, and need your password reset, please follow the "Forgot your Password Links" in Wandoo Reader or contact your library branch. 

Pinewood Derby Race!


Friday, July 12 at 1:00pm

If you have a car, bring it and race along side the cars we’ve been making the past 2 weeks. Race is open to all ages and all cars.

On Thursday, July 25th at 2:00 PM, come to our Sherwood Branch and try astronaut food!

Guess the Stars Contest


Guess the number of stars in our jar in this virtual contest. To enter, visit our the Branch District Library Facebook Page to vote!

Closest guess wins a Free Family Planetarium Pass (up to 6 people) for the Kingman Museum in Battle Creek.

Contest ends on Friday, June 28 at 2pm. Winner will be announced on Facebook! The winner can pick up the pass at any of our 6 Library Locations!



Tween Space Boat Building


Thursday, July 18 from 1-3pm

Calling all boat engineers! Tweens ages 10-12 are invited to join us in building space boats! The first boat building session will be Thursday, July 18 from 1-3 at the Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center. Participants also need to attend the second boat building session, also at the Aquatic Center, on Thursday, July 25 from 1-2:30pm, followed by the boat launch at 2:30pm. Attending both sessions is needed. Boats must meet rules & criteria. All materials will be provided.
