Have you ever been frustrated when you can’t find the book you want using Libby? Now there are more ways to get ebooks and audiobooks with partner libraries. What is a partner library? It's a virtual lending partnership with other libraries in the state of Michigan. A lending partnership allows library cardholders access to ebooks and audiobooks in Libby from an external library network when your library does not own them. All our lending library partners will now automatically be added to your Libby app! How exciting!
-
On the Libby menu page a patron with a Michigan Library card will see their home library displayed as “Your Library”, and all lending partnerships displayed as “Partner Libraries”.
-
The partner libraries will have their unique library cards displayed throughout Libby. Therefore when browsing in Libby, you’ll be able to identify where the ebook or audiobook is available from!
-
When searching for a specific title, tap Search in the footer. Libby will automatically check the availability of every search result at all partner libraries and will suggest the earliest available copy!
Currently, there are fifteen partner libraries. This list is subject to change.
