As a small child Jessica devoured books at a rapid rate. Once, while packing for an overnight trip to spend the night with Grandparents, she packed 35 picture books, "just in case". She frequented the Quincy branch of the Branch District Library throughout her youth and found solace there, pledging that one day she would work in that very building.

Jessica began her library journey in 2014 after graduating from Wayne State University with her Masters of Library Science and eventually found her way to BDL in January of 2017 as the Teen Services Librarian. Despite her fierce love of YA literature, she transitioned into her current position of Director of Public Services in 2019.

The only thing Jessica loves more than books is her family and dogs.

Dogs are the best.
