Friends of the Quincy Library BOOK SALE


Come enjoy our large BOOK SALE, Friday, June 3 from 9-5 and Saturday, June 4 from 9-noon. Hardcover books will be offered for 50 cents and paperbacks for 25 cents. There will be a returning special offer: Buy a library book bag for $10 and fill it for FREE! Our building is barrier free with a ramp on the north side of the building. The book sale will be located on the lower level.

Flower Arranging Class


Join us on Tuesday, May 17 from 1-3 p.m. in the 3rd floor meeting area of the Coldwater Library for a Flower Arranging Class. Our friends from "A Perfect Petal" will help you create a lovely flower arrangement. The cost is $5.00 for flowers. Please bring your own bud vase. The class is limited to the first 10 people to sign up. Call 517-278-2341, ext. 28 to reserve your spot.

Writing Seminar


Join us on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. at the Coldwater branch in the third floor meeting area as 2 Moon Press presents a free Writing Seminar. This is an informal seminar on writing for those who are looking to create a book. Plot development, formatting, and editing will be discussed. Several authors will be on hand as well as a cover designer and an editor. For more information contact the library at 517-278-2341 ext. 28.

Sherwood Plant Exchange & Book Sale


2nd Annual Plant Exchange and Book Sale

Bring a Plant - They must be weed-free in clean soil (potting soil in a container that you do not want back). For more information, contact the Sherwood Branch Library at 517-741-7976, or Sherwood@BranchDistrictLibrary.org.

Book Sale - .25 per paperback; .50 per hardcover or fill a bag for $2. All proceeds go to the Sherwood Friends of the Library to help with programming, story hour crafts, books, and DVDs.

Kindle Support Coming to OverDrive


Currently our OverDrive eBook Program doesn't work with Amazon's Kindle ebook reader. Good news, though: yesterday Amazon announced it is now working with OverDrive so that Kindle owners can use it, too! Stay tuned for details as our service gets even better.
