What is StoryWalk®?
Pages from a children’s picture book are displayed along a trail or sidewalk for families to read as they walk. Simple activity ideas accompany the book pages promoting movement, literacy, and discussion about the outdoors. The project encourages early literacy, outdoor activity, nature awareness, and spending time with family.
The projects are a partnership between the Branch District Library, local service clubs, businesses, and community members.
Where and when is it located in Branch County?
The library has multiple StoryWalks® located in the communities of Coldwater and Quincy. The displays are available all year long.
- Heritage Park in Coldwater, across from the Coldwater Recreation Center
- Waterworks Park in Coldwater (COMING SOON)
- Quincy Village Park in Quincy, along the railroad tracks
What books are on display?
Books on display are available for checkout at the library. The library changes the stories quarterly.
