You can get a library card anytime during the year, but libraries across the nation celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month in September!
Not only does a library card offer you access thousands of titles to borrow for free, it also gives you the chance to explore new hobbies, discover new languages, learn your family's history, and so much more!
Celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month by signing up for a library card at one of our six library locations. Applications are available online to get started now. When you sign-up for a library card throughout the month of September, get entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card.
Do you already have a library card but still want to participate? Adults may refer friends who need a library card and both you and the new library card holder will be entered into the drawing for the $100 Visa gift card. Complete a Refer-a-Friend form from any library location and have the new library card holder return it to the library. Multiple entries are allowed.
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held in September to mark the beginning of the school year. BDL will be joining with the American Library Association and libraries nationwide to encourage all to sign up for their own library card!
