The library is happy to consider visiting events or areas of potential need with the bookmobile. However, there are multiple factors considered when selecting stops and the bookmobile may not be able to accommodate all requests. All stops must be within the Branch District Library service area (Branch County and Allen Twp. of Hillsdale County) and must integrate easily into the existing schedule. Areas further from the library branches, under-served populations, and senior & youth care facilities are given priority.

The Bookmobile is 28 feet long and is 10 feet wide. Appropriate space is essential for safe parking and safe access for visitors. I understand that there must be adequate room for the bookmobile to park and maneuver. Lacking this required space means the bookmobile will not be able to attend this event or visit the requested location.

 

I understand that there are many factors the library considers when adding a new stop to the bookmobile's schedule. Providing the above information does not guarantee that my area will be added to the bookmobile schedule. The library reserves the right to cancel/change/move a stop at any point if it feels the arrangement is not the best use of library resources.
