A.
4-H Fair - The Rotary members entertained the 4-H members for
lunch on August 15, 1961.
B.
Our Club sponsored the Michigan Crippled Childrens Fund by way
of mail solicitations and received a total of $1,576.87 of which
one half is returned to Branch County.
C.
Kenneth C. Parsons was our selection to attend Camp Emory.
Club spent $40.00 on this project.
D.
Our Club donated $42.50 towards theexpenses of several Coldwater
students who attended the Little United Nations Conference in
Hillsdale.

E.
Charles Woodward, son of Douglas Woodward was our choice to
attend Wolverine Boys State. The Club donated $46.00 towards
this project.
F.
Kiwanis requested and received our check for $35.00 towards
sending two children to Camp Kimball.
G.
Perhaps our most unusual project was started by Bert Faller
visiting Valles, Mexico and learning of the work of the local
Rotary Club in building a much needed school. Funds were low
In connection
and our club sent $300.00 to help finish the school.
with this project it is possible that two Mexican students from
the Valles district will spend a year in the Coldwater School
district.
H.
The Ministrel show was another local hit with the theatre being
filled to capacity for three nights in a row. Ed Holtz along
with Grace Patterson and many of the Rotarians gave willingly
of there time to this successful project. Gross receipts were
$3,217.50. A portion of these receipts were donated to the
Tibbits Theatre and $800.00 to the roadway park project.
I.
During your year our club reached the 300% mark in our donations
toward the Rotary Fellowship Foundation Fund (Total $2,267.56)
J.
Club members worked their turns on the Mile-O-Dimes fund at
Christmas time.
K.
As before, two subscriptions to Revista Rotaria and six sub
scriptions to the Rotarian were placed in such places as the
High School, Hospital and library.
L.
At last, your guidance and patience brought our Constitution
and By-Laws up-to-date. Mark Andrews wrote the concluding
opinion which was accepted by the club members.
Rotarians traveling in the interest of Rotary -
Our Club was represented at the District Conference, District
Assembly and District Information meeting.
5.
You did not conduct a Rotary information meeting but new members
are now well informed by the Rotary Information Committee bdbre
accepting membership in the Club.
6.
Finances A.
Your year started with $2,109.03 in the general fund and
finished with $1,318.93.
B.
The Crippled Childrens Fund started your year with $1,875.37
and finished with $2,234.80.

All members dues were paid in full by June 30, 1962.
D.
You appointed Ernie Luse to audit the books after June 30th.
Ernie Luse will also prepare the Federal Government Return
Form 990.

Club members were well informed about the finances of the
Club as treasurer Schmitt gave each member a copy of the
treasurers report.
7.
Programs were interesting and snappy during your year. Nagle,
Normand Moore and Jolley contributed a lot to the fun part of
the programs.
8.
Conclusions -
It would appear from a close survey of your year that it was a
successful one. You had good control of the weekly and board
meetings.
The Officers and Directors appreciated your leadership and it
was a pleasure to serve under your guidance.
Each member, I am sure, will say ’’thanks” to you for your
year of service.
